Hawley House c.1878 accommodation and wedding venue near Devonport has been the cherished family home of the Houghton family since 1948. The property was opened to visitors in 1988 and is still run by the members of the family.

The other characters in Hawley's menagerie include dogs - Zorro, Griffin, Rogue,  pet ferrets Rocket and Ringo, Catty the cat along with peacocks, turkeys, many wild ducks, native hens.

The resident horses are Phantom, Trojan, Juno and Persia.
